Spectrum Health Information Services Internship Recruiting Event

Event Description

All majors welcome, and open to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.
Come and learn how a career in Information Technology can transform healthcare. Our internships offer students a meaningful work experience and exposure to West Michigan's largest employer and healthcare system.

Spectrum Health Information Services offers a diverse array of internships for students from all majors. Previous interns have been majors in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Electronics, and Management Information Systems.

Agenda:

1:30 p.m. Check In

We will get each student checked-in. There will be opportunity to network with each other and with the SH Representatives at the event, and get seated.

2:00 p.m. Event Begins

Welcome and Introduction:

Scott Dresen, Vice President, Enterprise Technology & Services, will welcome all participants and introduce how a career in Information Services could impact and transform healthcare.

Spectrum Health Internship Video:

Information Services will present a short video about the internship program. The video features past interns, mentors and directors sharing stories about the Spectrum Health Internship experience in Information Services.

Keynote Speaker:

Dr. J. Michael Kramer, Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer, will speak about how Spectrum Health is transforming healthcare and improving the health and lives of the communities we serve.

Human Resources:

Kara Kukulski and Larissa Van Wyk will speak about how to apply for an internship at Spectrum Health.

3:00 p.m. Round Table Networking

Students will participate in a sixty-minute speed-networking session to meet potential hiring managers and directors and ask more about Spectrum Health Information Services and career possibilities.

4:00 p.m. Wrap-Up

Adam Bakker, Team Lead, Education, Students to Business, will conclude the event with a brief wrap-up, and talk about the meaningful experiences available at Spectrum Health with an internship in Information Services.

Networking and refreshments:

There will be some opportunities after the event to network with the managers and directors, and enjoy refreshments.
